Description

Haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) is the name given to smoked haddock fillets, a member of the same family as cod, commonly found throughout the North Atlantic, from Spitsbergen to Portugal.

The lean flesh of haddock is low in calories, making it ideal for people watching their weight. It is also a good source of vitamin B1, potassium and sulphur.

Perfectly tolerated, even by delicate stomachs, haddock is very popular with young children, as well as sick people.

Tasting :

There's no shortage of haddock recipes! Haddock is generally very popular poached and served with a sauce (lemon or saffron). It can also be found in risotto, salad or carpaccio... for something original: opt for haddock tartiflette. 

Fished in the North-East Atlantic.
