There's no need to soak cucumbers in salt: they remain much crunchier if they retain their water, which also preserves their vitamins. Nor is it necessary to peel the cucumber skin. Simply wash and dry them thoroughly. Cut to suit your own recipe and/or taste!
You can slice, ball or tagliatelle it (with the help of a vegetable peeler). You can also make sticks for aperitifs, or grate it...

Cucumbers are most often eaten raw, but cooked they are also very tasty. To do this, cut into small cubes or slices and count:
Cooking in salted water: 2 min.
Microwave (filmed): 20 to 30 sec.
Steam cooking: 5 to 8 min
Roasting: 20 to 30 min
